12/3/2023 0 Comments Retroarch gpsp 3ds slowSadly I agree that gba emulation for demanding titles is somewhat cursed on Vita which is crazy thinking how promising it was on PSP. I also overclocked the Vita but did not get much better results. In Japan emulation is about the last ones mainly from what I have seen. It is also worth mention that MGBA has no cheats, fast forward and rewind that for many people makes it a no-go. VBA next gives me also problems launching roms I dumped myself (mainly in Japanese which should not matter to the extent of my knowledge) so I did expect problems with romhacks. MGBA throttles of one 1-2 frames at worst which is the best result I got. Gpsp and VBA on RA have fps throttle that made the roms not playable. I also have the same results about the performance of romhacks he mentioned. Have you checked your settings as many suggested? Majority of the games run with no problem for me in a way or another (retroarch or gpsp is totally right. Yoshi Island is less performance impacting so that is weird. Thank with DBZA the vita might struggle only if not overclocked. Please let me know if I can provide any further information. I tried overclocking, but the performance remains the same. Is there anything I can do to achieve stable framerate for GBA games in Retroarch? I keep seeing everyone talking about how great VBA Next is for PS Vita Retroarch, but I can't seem to replicate that performance. Using the gpsp kai emulator for Adrenaline, I get a stable framerate in these games, but I'd like to be able to emulate GBA inside Retroarch since I like having all my games in one interface and I also have many savegames under VBA Next that are not compatible with other emulators. All games work, but I do experience massive frame drops quite often in games such as Dragonball Z Advance or Yoshi's Island. I am using Retroarch and the VBA Next core for GBA emulation. Very strange.I'm trying to emulate GBA on my PS Vita PCH-2000 and I'm having some trouble with it. Nintendo - GameBoy Advance MyBoy No B Standalone Free/Paid Runs better than gpSP and has link cable/network play if you buy the paid version. Newer GBA cores running in newer versions of RetroArch do not perform well. Astonishingly, before the update I could play "Pokemon Fire Red" using gpSP with achievements enabled without any issues, but now I only get a black screen, while I could not play ChronoTrigger on SNES2002 core before the update, but it works fine now. gpSP Yes A RetroArch 1.5.0 Only Free Runs under the older RetroArch app (v 1.5.0, with a blue GBA icon). I had similar achievement-related problems before the update, but weirdly back then gpSP worked fine for many (but not all) games, while I had these crashes more frequently when using SNES cores. When I start a game using GPSP I either get a message that it crashed (and it tells me to press A to shutdown) or, most of the time, I just get a black screen, RetroArch freezes and I have to shutdown the 3ds manually. Fixed the weird stutter/hiccup like slow-downs (audio as well) that would randomly happen whenever playing a game on my end. I just updated RetroArch on my 3ds (including cores) and while I really like the update (the menu on the bottom screen is really nice), I now run into problems when trying to use the GPSP core. What I was recommended to do was to go into Settings>Latency, and toggle on both the 'Run-Head to Reduce Latency' and 'Use Second Instance for Run-Head' options.
