I'm still testing AP to decide whether it could serve well enough as my main RAW developer. It's also a much better program for local adjustments. In my comparisons between the two programs, I've preferred the overall results from AP in some instances. I'm referring mainly to the development of RAW files rather than pixel level/raster editing and adjustments. ![]() Adjustment settings are saved non-destructively in sidecar files, so a RAW file can be re-opened for further development.Processing profiles may be saved and set as defaults upon opening a file (AP requires 'dummy' documents to be created with default settings, or create macros).Easy method for saving, copying, and pasting settings across two or multiple RAW images (AP approach is awkward, requiring multiple tab settings to be saved individually).Impulse noise reduction - convenient for reducing 'salt and pepper' type noise (nothing similar in AP).Sharpening options - Unsharp Mask and RL Deconvolution.Clipped shadow and highlight indicator usable at any time in the workflow (available only in AP Develop Persona). ![]()
